77º – pleasant with sunshine and patchy clouds. That is a forecast of perfection for our first Vintage Flea Market of the summer, this Saturday, June 3 from 10-4 (shop is open until 5). We can hardly wait! We have a great lineup of vendors for you this season: some of our favorite regulars, plus new folks that have lots of great vintage and antique items. There will be everything for this market: smalls, furniture, shabby chic, industrial, mid-century, primitive, garden, vintage jewelry, and everything in between… plus a local coffee stand (!) and right next to them, delicious goodies from Too Sweet Cakes (you might want to stock up on your weekend desserts while you’re there). We’ll even have some of our own choice vintage goodies from Pomegranate out front: a couple of great store displays and fun, funky project pieces.
And we’re really happy to help out with a great cause, too: from 10 to 12:30 a local sewing group will be set up in front selling raffle tickets to win a gorgeous “Alabama Chanin” style flag they made for the Central Oregon Veteran’s Ranch. The flag is beautiful: a true work of art (definitely buying some tickets for it)! And we love the cause: if you haven’t yet heard about all the amazing things the Central Oregon Veteran’s Ranch is doing for our vets, click here to read about it (it’s a brilliant idea; many kudos to organizers and volunteers on this massive and important project).
We so look forward to seeing you, and kicking up our heels for the start of summer (yay!) and the first of our Vintage Flea Markets for 2017. The dates are easy to remember: the first Saturday of the month from June through October. Future Vintage Flea Markets are scheduled for July 1, August 5, September 2, and October 7. We have lots of our little reminder postcards at the shop, if you want to post one on your bulletin board (or hand out a bunch). See you on Saturday!
